Please note that the Angling Trust (with input from the Environment Agency) are holding a free public meeting on the evening of 11th May in Newcastle. Some very interesting items on the agenda, so it would be good to have as many attend as possible.

Poaching and fish theft – Angling Trust Regional Enforcement Manager, Giles Evans outlines his work and explains how the new Volunteer Bailiff Service will roll out in the North East.
Enviromment Agency Update – EA Fisheries Technical Specialist Robbie Stevenson gives a round-up of Fisheries team work in the region.
Salmon 5 Point Plan – EA Fisheries Team leader Jon Shelley gives an overview of the new EA 5 point Plan to improve Salmon Stocks
Angling Trust News – Angling Trust National Regions Manager outlines the latest news from AT
Open Forum Session – Ask questions and raise issues with the Environment Agency and the Angling Trust
YOUR ISSUES – Do you have an issue you think would make a good agenda item…then let us know via the email address below.

This meeting is free to attend and open to all. It is aimed at ALL freshwater anglers, Coarse and Game. It is a key opportunity to hear about the work of the Environment Agency and is a chance to tell the Angling Trust what YOU think their priorities should be. Plus updates from key organisations in your area.

It looks like being a fascinating meeting, so if you love angling and live within reach of the venue, make sure you attend.
